Pot Limit

Pot Limit poker on PokerKing is the format of cash games and tournaments, where the maximum size of bet on each street is equal to the size of pot.

The minimal betting size is 1 bb, with the only exception being when the player has less than 1 bb in stack.

The minimum raise size is equal to the sum of the opponent’s raize size and your call size. For example, if a player’s first action is a $10 bet, then the minimum raise will be calculated as $10 + $10 = $20.

The maximum bet is equal to the sum of all bets during the current round, plus the pot size and the size of your call, where:

  • Pot is the sum of all bets during the previous betting rounds (streets), excluding bets during the current round;
  • Call is the amount required to call the opponent’s bet.

For example, if a player on UTG bets $10, a player on MP bets $20, the sum of their bets is $30. The pot is $40, the amount to call is $20. In this case, the maximum betting amount would be ($10 + $20) + $40 + $20 = $90. To determine the maximum raising size, this sum must be added to the amount to call: $90 + $20 = $110.

The limits of Pot Limit games are designated similarly to the No Limit games: for example, $1/2 are the sizes of small blind and big blind.
